John and Carol

It is true that on any given day someone can come into our life that is there for just a short period of time and then they are gone. The meeting maybe as profound as two families meeting in the waiting room of a hospital awaiting the birth of a grandchild or simply a happenstance like sitting on the same bench at a park.  The outcome of these chance encounters are as varied as the people who have them.  In the same thought, I believe that as a child of God there is no such thing as accident or coincidence.  Recently, we had a precious coming together after a long time of corresponding with some online friends.  It was a most wonderful experience.

John and Carol have been our friends for quite awhile.  We connected with them on the internet – I think they found our website at some point and emailed.  We have shared many wonderful emails, phone conversations – prayed with one another, chatted about children, grandchildren, the state of the nation/world and everything in between.  John has spent hours with me on the phone helping me with all kind of medical questions. (Yes, he is a physician.)  Carol has been to me, a rock, prayer partner and a balm of comfort – depending on the need at the time.  What a precious pair they are.

Just this past month we were blessed beyond measure to finally put physical arms around them and welcome them into our home.  Praise the Lord!!!  I want to share a few pics from their visit and in doing so, tell them and you how thankful we are for these glorious days we had together.  What excellent people they are – as friends and as Brother and Sister in the Lord!!

Hi, this is John, and as you now know after we visited with you, I am neeeeeever speechless, but now I am.

We are the ones who are honored and humbled to have been able to have such a wonderful time of communion and rest with you and your family.

When Believers in the One True God come together He is there with them, and you and your family are evidence of His constant presence. We are now – PROUDLY and HUMBLY part of your family and you are part of ours in God and His Love.

Thank you ALL for your hospitality and tolerance of our quirks, habits and “strange Northern speech” (or was it really Tongues?)

Love you ALL, continuing to pray for you, and can hardly wait to be with you again.
